Dr. Mohammad Shenasa
Dr. Mohammad Shenasa graduated University of Tehran, Faculty of Medicine in 1975 and was awarded a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. Dr. Shenasa was trained at Guy’s Hospital, University of London, and then completed his fellowship (1979-1982) in Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He held academic positions at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, the University of Montreal and McGill University in Canada, visiting professor in Munster, Germany, and Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, he is in the Department of Cardiovascular Services at O’Connor Hospital he was a chairman of quality control, and is the founder of Heart and Rhythm Medical group. He is the senior editor of Cardiac Mapping; the 5th edition is in preparation for 2018. He was a guest editor of Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics for the 2014 through 2017, and is preparing for the December 2019 and 2020 issues. Dr. Shenasa’s new books that were recently released include Atrial Fibrillation: A Practical Approach by Oxford University Press, ECG Handbook: Contemporary Challenges by CardioText, and ECG Masters Collection: International Edition by CardioText. He is serving as an associate editor for PACE, and is a reviewer for several journals. He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally. His interest is cardiac mapping and ablation, ICD and CRT therapy, and atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
